Patrick Disney Miller, Grandson of Late Walt Disney, Arrested on Suspicion of Illegal Gun Possession

Patrick Disney Miller, grandson of Walt Disney, has been arrested early Wednesday on suspicion of illegal gun possession.

Los Angeles Police Officer Karen Rayner told the Los Angeles Times that Miller, 42, was taken into custody about 5:30 a.m. at his home in Woodland Hills. She said a LAPD gun unit was there to serve a search-and-arrest warrant.

Miller was booked in Van Nuys for investigation of possession of a firearm by a felon and selling ammunition or reloaded ammunition for a handgun. Miller is currently being held in lieu of $70,000 bail.

Barry Carpenter, Former Martins Ferrry, OH, Police Chief Sentenced to Prison in Parker-Broderick Surrogate Break-in Case

Barry Carpenter, a former Martins Ferry, Ohio police chief, has been sentenced to two years and eight months in prison in connection with the break-in at the home of the surrogate who bore twins for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick. He was convicted last month on charges of receiving stolen property, theft in office and evidence tampering but he was acquitted of other counts, including burglary.

Carpenter tendered his resignation two weeks ago as chief in Martins Ferry, where the celebrity couple’s surrogate lived. Carpenter and Police Chief Chad Dojack of neighboring Bridgeport were accused of conspiring to steal items from the woman’s home to sell to paparazzi. Dojack’s trial is scheduled for February.

Tyra Banks Announces the End of the "Tyra Banks Show" at the End of Fifth Season in Spring 2010

Tyra Banks has decided to bid adieu to her show after five seasons and two Daytime Emmy awards. She told People magazine that this will be the last season for her show in the spring of 2010. She said, “I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years.”

Don't cry for Tyra Banks. She will reportedly turn her focus to the launch of Bankable Studios, a N.Y.-based film production company currently reviewing possible projects. Staying true to a stated mission of hers, she told People, “My next huge steps will allow me to reach more women and young girls to help us all feel as fierce as we truly are.” Banks says.

She wrote in an open letter on her Web site, “There’s a lot cooking right now and a lot of fire burning in my heart.” “And I salute you my amazing family of viewers; without you there never would have been a Tyra Show. I really love you all.”

Well, Tyra Banks certainly won't make as enormous a dent as the reigning Daytime talk show queen Oprah Winfrey. who made a similar announcement about the end of her show earlier this fall, but still she managed to reach an audience of young women who adored her. Tyra Banks isn't departing the world of television. On the contrary. She will be back on "America's Next Top Model," which is slated to return for its 15th season in February, as well as her ABC show "True Beauty."

Ivana Trump Escorted Off New York-Bound Plane from Florida After Becoming Belligerent

Police say Ivana Trump, 60, was escorted off a New York City-bound Delta Air Lines in Florida after she became belligerent because children were running and screaming in the aisles. Hmm. Where were their parents while they did this and I didn't realize that kids could run around in a plane before it takes off. 

Authorities said Trump, ex-wife of Donald Trump, cursed at the children Saturday and at flight attendants who tried to calm her. A flight attendant reportedly offered to switch her seat in first class and she became even more irate.

Ivana Trump has not been charged in the incident at Palm Beach International Airport. Palm Beach County sheriff's deputies asked her to voluntarily exit the plane, but they said she refused and was then escorted off. Well, I guess the recession has affected even Ivana Trump. I would have guessed right off that she would fly private instead of commercial. Besides, for a woman her age, her behavior was a disgrace. She could have handled this matter more diplomatically instead of treating first class to a "blue light" special.

Georgia-Based Singer-Songwriter Vic Chesnutt Dies After Spending Several Days in a Coma

Georgia-based singer-songwriter Vic Chesnutt died Friday in Athens, Ga., after spending several days in a coma caused by an overdose of muscle relaxers. He was confined to a wheelchair after a car accident at age 19. Chesnutt was discovered in the late 1980s by R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe, who was the producer of his first two albums, Little and West of Rome. 

Chestnutt's persistent medical problems made him an extremely harsh critic of the healthcare system in the United States. He told Spinner earlier this year that he was $35,000 in debt to a hospital despite the fact that he was insured.

According to Rolling Stone Magazine, Chesnutt gained national prominence thanks to 1996’s Sweet Relief II: Gravity of the Situation, which featured Smashing Pumpkins, R.E.M., Garbage and more bands covering his songs to raise money for the Sweet Relief charity, which aids musicians in need of health care. Vic Chesnutt released 13 albums, with his most recent release being Skitter on Take-Off. He was well-known in Athens, where he collaborated with many local indie rock bands.

Actor Charlie Sheen Arrested in Aspen Colorado on Charges Related to Domestic Violence

Actor Charlie Sheen has been arrested in Aspen, Colorado on charges related to domestic violence. According to the Aspen Times, police spokeswoman Stephanie Dasaro said Sheen was taken into custody Friday on suspicion of second-degree assault and menacing, which are both felonies, as well as being charged with criminal mischief, which is a misdemeanor. His wife, Brooke Mueller, reportedly called police after he allegedly pushed her.

Since he is charged with committing domestic violence, he will remain behind bars without bond until he is advised of the charges, according to the Aspen Times. According to media reports, Colorado law requires protection orders between people arrested on domestic violence cases and their alleged victims. The court was closed for Christmas and no date has been set for his appearance.

Sheen, who is the son of actor Martin Sheen, married Mueller in May 2008, following his acrimonious divorce from actress Denise Richards. His screen credits include "Platoon," "Wall Street" and the "Hot Shots!" movies. He is the star of CBS series "Two and a Half Men."

Mary J. Blige Reportedly Punches Husband, Kendu Isaacs, in the Face After She Thought He was Flirting With Waitress

Well, there is drama with R&B singer Mary J. Blige. NY Post's Page Six is reporting that Blige punched her husband Kendu Isaacs in the face at the release party for her new album at club M2 Tuesday night. Ms. Blige reportedly drew blood with that punch, which landed on Isaacs after she thought he was flirting with a waitress. Welcome to the Age of the Tiger. Tiger Woods's alleged beatdown by his wife Elin Nordegren. Here's an excerpt from Page Six:

"She turned to him and was screaming, 'You're not going to ruin my night,' " our witness says. "They got up in each other's faces before someone tried to separate them, at which point she shoved the guy aside, pulled back and popped [Isaacs] in the face."

The source said Blige, Isaacs and their entourage were whisked through a door to the attached club Pink, which was closed. Our witness relates, "She was yelling at him, 'What are you gonna do, Chris Brown me?' Four of her bodyguards and two of the club's kept them apart."

FBI Delays Release of Documents Pertaining to Michael Jackson Extortion Plots

The FBI will not release documents about Michael Jackson relating to the molestation investigation as well as extortion attempts. The formerly classified documents, about 333 pages, were to be released today, but the near-blizzard conditions have delayed the release for at least one day.

According to TMZ sources state that the documents pertain to the 1993 Michael Jackson child molestation investigation and that the late Johnnie Cochran contacted the FBI, claiming the accuser's family was trying to extort money from Jackson with false allegations.

Actress Brittany Murphy, 32, Dies After Going into Cardiac Arrest

Actress Brittany Murphy has died at age 32. She reportedly went into full cardiac arrest this morning and could not be revived, according to TMZ

TMZ reports that a 911 call was made at 8:00 a.m. from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack. She was reportedly taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Murphy starred in such films as "Clueless," "8 Mile," and "Don't Say a Word."

Alexa Ray Joel, Daughter of Billy Joel & Christie Brinkley, Hospitalized After Overdosing on Sleeping Pills, Cops Suspect Attempted Suicide

Alexa Ray Joel, daughter of Piano Man Billy Joel and his ex-wife Christie Brinkley, was rushed to St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City, after ingesting a large number of sleeping pills, in what the New York Police is saying was a suicide attempt.

A female caller told a 911 operator that Joel had taken several pills and wanted to die, sources said. Tiger Woods Cancels Third Meeting with Florida Highway Patrol, Releases Statement Accepting Responsibility for Early Morning Accident

For the third day in row, professional golfer Tiger Woods has canceled an interview with the Florida Highway Patrol about the early-morning crash that sent him to the hospital. A spokeswoman for Florida Highway Patrol said the agency was contacted at about 1 p.m. from prominent local attorney Mark NeJame, who said he is now representing Woods. Tiger Woods has released a statement on his website and has claimed responsibility for the accident and denounced rumors that have surfaced about the incident. The statement reads:

"As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I'm pretty sore.

This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again.

This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.

The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.

This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be. "

Tiger Woods and his wife should be afforded some privacy in this matter. It is obvious that something has transpired in his private life, but it does not rise to the level of constant coverage by the mainstream news outlets. I am sure his statement will continue to fan the flames of controversy and the rumors of infidelity will not diminish.

Tyler Perry Hit With Infringement Lawsuit by Estate of Gospel Singer/Songwriter Bertha James

Tyler Perry has been sued by Susie H. James, the personal representative of deceased gospel singer/songwriter Bertha James, who claims Perry used too much of the goodness of Jesus in his movie, "Madea Goes to Jail," at least according to a new federal lawsuit. The suit claims Perry lifted an entire verse from a song James wrote in 1950 -- "When I Think of the Goodness of Jesus."

According to TMZ, the suit also claims Perry stole the verse and used it in "Madea," specifically, "incorporating the entire chorus in a monologue delivered by the main character in 'Madea" referencing her deliverance from a jail sentence and leniency for repetitive criminal conduct, in a staged court proceeding presided over by 'Judge Mabeline.'"

Bertha's estate, which is also suing Lionsgate Entertainment, wants unspecified damages for copyright infringement. This is amazing. The more money this man makes, the more people come out of the woodwork to sue him. Doesn't this remind you of what happened to the late Michael Jackson?

Comedian Katt Williams in Georgia Jail on Charges of Burglary and Criminal Trespassing

Comedian Katt Williams remains in custody in the Coweta County jail in Georgia on charges of burglary and criminal trespassing.

According to WSB-TV, a deputy at the jail confirmed the comedian is being held at the jail, and that a magistrate was expected to set bond at an arraignment Monday afternoon.

Williams real name is Micah Williams.He is known for his appearances on BET and HBO, including his HBO special Katt Williams: Pimp Chronicles Pt. 1, which was shot in Atlanta.

Leona Lewis Told to Leave London Store Because Her Father is Black

Singer Leona Lewis, 24, was told to leave an unnamed London store, along with her Guyana-born father Joe, because of the color of his skin. She said she was purchasing photo frames when they were approached by the store owner, who said: ‘get out of my store right now.’ She asked her ‘are you joking?’ “She said, ‘No, I want both of you to remove yourselves from my store’ She asked why – and pointing at her father she said, ‘I don’t like the look of him. I want him to go now.’

“I said: “What do you mean? She said, ‘I know why you’re coming in here’. She was implying we were trying to steal stuff.” The woman shouted at Leona in front of other customers, but despite being in tears the singer refused to leave.

Tyler Perry Responds to Spike Lee's Characterization of His Films as "Coonery and Buffoonery"

Must we always air our dirty laundry in public? Well, Spike Lee picked a fight of sorts with Tyler Perry earlier this year and Tyler Perry responded during an interview on "60 Minutes." Personally, I like Spike Lee's work -- "Miracle at St. Anna," "Do the Right Thing," "School Daze" and "Jungle Fever." I do like some of Tyler Perry's work -- "Dairy of a Mad Black Woman" and "Meet the Browns." I have had enough of Madea and I am looking for some serious work from him and not just comedy. However, I don't think that Spike Lee should have thrown him under a bus, at least not by calling his work similar to "Amos and Andy" skits. There are many African Americans who find some of his characters -- Madea and Mr. Brown -- demeaning and harken back to a period in the African American experience that we need to move away from, but there are also many who love his work.

Tyler Perry said, during his appearance on "60 Minutes" he said he was “insulted” and “pissed off” by Spike Lee’s criticisms of Perry’s hit TV shows and movies. Lee recently called Perry characters such as Madea examples of “coonery” and “buffoonery.”“I would love to read that [criticism] to my fan base,” Perry told "60 Minutes" correspondent Byron Pitts. “All these characters of mine are bait, bait to get people talking about God, love, family, and faith.”

Tyler Perry has an unbelievable gift for comic impersonations and making his audience laugh, but Madea and Mr. Brown are getting tired. Stuttering black men in colorful clothes feel really old -- a little like Amos n Andy. Surely, Tyler Perry can make us laugh with other characters than his usual bumbling black men. To his credit, maybe he has started to move away from these characters through a recent collaboration, "Precious" with daytime queen Oprah Winfrey.

As for Spike Lee, I could also make an argument that he tends cast lighter-skinned Black and/or Latina women as his black lead's love interests. Don't get me wrong, I have no issues with light skinned black women, but it seems that Spike Lee may have a problem with dark-skinned sisters. The reality is that using lighter skinned love interests only reinforces how the black community defines physical beauty and, in essence, socio-economic mobility. That's just as problematic as a bumbling black man like Mr. Brown.

These two men are bringing different things to the table. Tyler Perry has found a way to bring African Americans to the movie theaters, more than Spike Lee has. Spike Lee confronts racial discrimination in his movies and racial equality in Hollywood, still rarely examining his own regressive "color" politics. So, at the end of the day, I guess I'll take my chances with Tyler Perry and his business acumen, but I hope "Madea Goes to Jail" is the last of his movies to feature this big-breasted angry mammy. It's time to let her go. Really.

Adam Jasinski, Ninth-Season Winner of Reality TV Show "Big Brother," Confesses to Using $500K Prize to Buy Oxycodone Pills & Resell Them

Another reality show cast member has found himself on the wrong side of the law. Authorities said Adam Jasinski, 31, the ninth-season winner of reality TV show "Big Brother" has confessed to using his $500,000 prize to buy thousands of oxycodone pills and resell them. He has been charged with attempting to sell 2,000 pills in Massachusetts to a government witness. A fool and his money will surely part company quickly, especially if his motives are less than honorable.

Federal prosecutors said Jasinski was arrested Saturday after he flew to Boston and showed the witness a sock containing two plastic bags filled with oxycodone, a powerful painkiller that is a popular street drug because of its euphoric effects. Drug Enforcement Administration special agent Todd Prough said as agents tried to arrest Jasinski at a strip mall in North Reading, he struggled and threw the sock under a car parked nearby.

Jasinski won $500,000 on "Big Brother 9" in April 2008. The CBS reality show features contestants who live under constant surveillance and vote once a week to evict each other in hopes of becoming the last house-guest standing and winning the grand prize.

Prough said in the affidavit that Jasinski told him that he has been using his winnings to buy thousands of oxycodone pills and has been reselling them along the East Coast for the past several months. He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine on a charge of possession of oxycodone pills with intent to distribute. This incident is proof that old habits die hard. I find it hard to believe that he was not engaged in such criminal activities before he appeared on the reality show. This is another blow for reality television and the nutjobs and criminals they seem to attract.

Leah Ignagni Named as the Slain Football Great Steve McNair's Other Lover

Steve McNair, who was slain by his girlfriend Sahel Kazemi on July 4, 2009, is back in the news again. This time the second woman he was possibly cheating on his wife with has been revealed. Her name is Leah Ignagni. What a tangled web he weaved and it ultimately cost him his life and left his wife, Mechelle McNair with a hot mess on her hands. In an updated police case summary, Ignagni told police that a woman in the same model car (a Cadillac Escalade) that Kazemi owned had been following her a few weeks prior to the former football great's murder. 

Ignagni said in the summary that when leaving Steve McNair's Lea Avenue condominium, she "observed a female inside a black Cadillac escalade parked outside the building. Ignagni said she noticed the Escalade follow her as she drove to her apartment." Kazemi's former roommate Emily Andrews confirmed that she knew about McNair's other lover. Gee, did she really think he would remain faithful to her if he couldn't remain faithful to his wife? There's more. Andrews said Kazemi told her that she found a tampon in the bathroom wastebasket in the condo and saw a woman leaving on another occasion.

Maybe jealously played a big role in Steve McNair's death, but this should serve as a warning to other married men who play such a dangerous game. It can have lasting and damaging effects. The new police report does not specifically speculate on what role, if any, Ignagni might have played in Kazemi's mind, but they have stated in the past they believed Kazemi killed McNair and herself because of stress, money worries, and jealousy.

Jermaine Jackson's Ex-Wife, Alejandra Jackson, Says He's Not Taking Care of His Kids, Files Lawsuit for Back-Child Support Payments

Baby mama drama:  Alejandra Jackson, Jermaine Jackson's ex-wife claims the singer has left her so dirt poor  that she has been forced to accept supermarket gift cards from Jermaine's mother, Katherine Jackson, so she can feed the kids. As you know, Jermaine Jackson has been out giving media interviews, popping up on different shows and planning a concert overseas, which means he's making money. He's a dirtbag if he doesn't want to take care of his kids.

Alejandra Jackson filed legal documents in L.A. County Superior Court claiming Jermaine is a deadbeat dad who hasn't paid $35,550 in court-ordered child support payments for their two kids, Jermajesty and Jaffar.

In the docs Alejandra says Jermaine's own mother sees how bad the situation is and often bails her out with "gift cards to Ralphs in varying months so that I can pick up food for our children, usually between $300 and $400."

Alejandra also claims Jermaine was lying to the court when he claimed he only made $35k in 2008 -- pointing out that he lives in the same "estate home" in Calabasas, drives the same "luxury vehicles" and has the same "luxury lifestyle" he had before. Source: TMZ

Turbulence in the Skies, Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions Sued by Corrine Gehrls, Former Flight Attendant, Over Termination for "Inappropriate Intimate Conduct"

There is drama in the skies above Chicago. Corrine Gehrls, a former flight attendant on Oprah Winfrey's private jet, has filed a defamation lawsuit alleging that Gayle King's daughter, Kirby Bumpus, lied about a fling between her and the pilot, Terry Pansing, that got her fired. Gehrls is suing Harpo, Oprah's company, along with the two flight attendants she claims lied about her. She's asking for damages in excess of $75,000. The lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Gehrls alleges that Gayle King's daughter, Kirby Bumpus, and the other flight attendant on the jet, Myron Gooch, told Oprah Winfrey directly that Gerhls and the pilot, Terry Pansing, engaged in "inapproriate intimate conduct" during a June 14, 2009 flight.

Gehrls stated in the complaint that no such conduct took place and added that there is no way anyone could have witnessed such conduct since Winfrey and the other passengers taken sleeping pills and slept throughout the flight.

Gerhls also claimed in the lawsuit that Winfrey favored Gooch and turned a blind eye when Gooch and Gayle King shared the jet's double bed on another flight. The complaint also alleges that Winfrey's only issue with Gooch was his food ordering skills and that Winfrey allegedly said "White folks don't know what southern food should taste like." Somehow I find it hard to believe that Oprah Winfrey would make such an ignorant statement, especially since there are many whites from the South.

According to the complaint, Gerhls and Pansing passed a lie detector test and the results are attached to the complaint as exhibits. Well, I would have guessed right off that Gayle King's daughter would have aspired to be more than a flight attendant on a private plane.

Police: Miguel Cabrera, Tigers First Baseman, was Drunk during Fight with Wife, Roseangel Cabrera, Had .26 Blood-alcohol Level

Police in the Detroit suburb of Birmingham, MI, were called to the home of Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera early Saturday morning, for what has been described in the media as a "family trouble" phone call. The incident was reportedly entered in the police department's log on the same day Cabrera showed up at Comerica Park for that night's game against the White Sox with a bruise visible on the left side of his face. According to Police Chief Richard Patterson, Cabrera had a blood-alcohol level more than three times the legal limit when he became involved in a physical altercation with his wife, Roseangel Cabrera. According to police reports, when he got home after Friday night's game, his wife was not happy he had been drinking so late and a physical altercation ensued.

According to the police report, Cabrera's wife, whose name is listed as Rosangel, was upset when the ballplayer woke up the couple's 4-year-old daughter and was talking on the phone when he came home. Investigators noticed his wife had an injury to her lower lip; they noted the injury to the left side of Cabrera's face.

Police found a damaged cell phone, and the gold chain Cabrera wears around his neck was broken, too. But when officers asked the couple what happened, neither would explain how they were injured, according to the report. Cabrera's wife insisted he leave, and he agreed, so officers took him to the police department to be picked up by the Tigers.

After investigators determined both Cabrera and his wife were "aggressors" in the situation, Patterson said, the first baseman was released. Tigers general manager Dave Dombrowski picked Cabrera up at the station between 7:30 and 8 a.m. Saturday, he added. Cabrera registered a .26 blood-alcohol level when tested by police, Commander Mark Clemence said. A person is considered drunk at .08. Source: Detroit Free Press

Never mind the fact that Cabrera's statistics are horrible. He enters Tuesday's American League Central tiebreaker in an 0-for-14 slump since his first-inning single Thursday against the Twins. According to the Free Press, it is his longest hitless streak of the season, and it includes an 0-for-11 series against the White Sox this past weekend. On Saturday, the day of the incident, Cabrera went 0-for-4 and didn't hit the ball out of the infield, including a ground-ball double play to end an eighth-inning threat. Another athlete caught up in a domestic abuse flap. When will these people learn that being inebriated can lead to some serious problems?

I must admit, I was not shocked by the David Letterman's admission that he has sexual relationships with some of his staffers. At least he said it before the media got wind of these lurid details. I find it absolutely offensive that he would engage in such behaviors with his staff, but he didn't lie when confronted like some politicians we know -- former President Bill Clinton, John Edwards, Mark Sanford and Senator John Ensign, for example. Also, let's not forget to add Rev. Jesse Jackson to the pot, though he didn't lie about the paternity of the child he fathered with his jump-off.

Ashley "AJ" Jewell, Former Fiance of Kandi Burruss, Newest Castmember of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" Dies After Strip Club Brawl

Ashley "AJ" Jewell, the former fiance of Kandi Burruss, the newest cast member of the reality show, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," was killed outside an Atlanta strip club Friday night. According to Atlanta Police, Jewell suffered a severe head injury during a fight at The Body Tap Club in the 1200 block of Marietta Boulevard in Atlanta.

It appears he was in an altercation in the parking lot and received a severe blow to the head. He was taken to Piedmont Hospital where he later died. No one has been arrested, though the police has developed a person of interest who has been questioned.

Burruss is an award-winning singer-songwriter and former member of the ’90s R&B group Xscape. She has reportedly had numerous disagreements with her mother on the show regarding her relationship with Jewell.

Filmmaker Roman Polanski, 76, Arrested by Swiss Authorities on 1973 Rape Charges

You can run but you can't hide. According to organizers of the Zurich Film Festival, director Roman Polanski, 76, has been taken into custody by Swiss police on a 31-year-old U.S. arrest warrant. Polanski fled the U.S. in 1978, one year after pleading guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13 year old girl. I guess he got so used to running from the law that he didn't bother checking if he could have been arrested on the charges in Switzerland, where he traveled to receive a lifetime achievement award.

Polanski, who has lived in France for the past three decades, directed classic films such as "Rosemary's Baby," "Chinatown" and most recently "The Pianist," in 2002, for which he won a directing Oscar Award in absentia.  He sought dismissal of his case on the grounds that the judge, who has since passed away, had arranged a plea bargain and then reneged on it.

Actor Randy Quaid and Wife Evi, Arrested on Felony Charges for Stiffing San Ysidro Ranch $10,000

How utterly disgusting!  Law enforcement in has reportedly arrested actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi on burglary, fraud and conspiracy charges. Why? They are accused of stiffing the San Ysidro Ranch near Santa Barbara, CA, $10,000. Apparently this pair has been known to engage in criminal behavior of this nature. They stiffed the Hotel Bel-Air $17,000 in unpaid hotel bills. Talk about celebrity trash.

According to TMZ, there was a struggle and the deputies had to wrestle Evi to the ground as she screamed loudly. The Presidio County Sheriff's deputies also reportedly told TMZ that Randy Quaid assaulted them both physically and verbally, as he resisted arrest, but they did him a favor. They declined to file charges. The pair are in custody in the town of Marfa, Texas.

Shawne Merriman Says Girlfriend Tila "Tequila" Nguyen was Drunk, He Was Trying to Keep her Safe

While the sh** has started flying. San Diego Chargers superstar Shawne Merriman has finally spoken up about his recent arrest, telling FoxSports.com that his girlfriend Tila Tequila was drunk and he was only trying to keep her safe. Right and the Earth is square!

"On September 6, 2009 the San Diego Sheriff's Department responded to a citizen's complaint that was initiated by Tila Nguyen (aka Tila Tequila). I was taken into custody based upon that complaint. At the time, I was concerned about her welfare given the intoxicated state she appeared to be in and I encouraged her to stay until safe transportation could be provided.

"We would all do our best to help a friend if we considered their actions to be detrimental to their personal safety. I in no way caused any harm to Ms. Nguyen, however, paramedics were called and she was examined but no injuries were reported. She was released and has since returned to Los Angeles, California.

"There have been no charges filed against me. I want to thank the San Diego Sheriff's Department for their professionalism. I will continue to cooperate fully with the Department, and I look forward to clearing my name regarding these false allegations. Whitney Houston's Voice Cracks During Central Park Comeback Show to Air on "Good Morning America," She Blames Oprah

Whitney Houston has proven once again that she is a diva (not in a good way) when she tried to blame being on the Oprah Winfrey Show, which she taped on Monday to air September 14th, for her horrible first public singing performance in Central Park, New York earlier today. She reportedly told the crowd at Rumsey Playfield, where she was singing as part of a segment to run on tomorrow's "Good Morning America" show. She wasn't woman or adult enough to admit her own shortcomings.

Ms. Houston needs to admit the truth about her disgraceful performance -- the years of drug abuse. She sang four songs, including her oldie "My Love is Your Love" and her new single "Million Dollar Bill."Anyone listening could tell that this woman was having serious problems staying on key. Her voice cracked repeatedly. As the New York Daily News puts it, "Houston treated the highest notes the same way drivers with new cars treat pot holes."She couldn't even sing the choruses of her songs. She left that up to her back-up singers and the audience. Sorry, but if this is any indication of what is to come from Ms. Houston, then I am sad to say that she has lost her mojo. I remember back in the day when her voice soared through the stratosphere in her prime. Patti Labelle is 65 years old and yes, she can still hold a note.

Sorry Whitney, I guess I won't "I Look To You" for a phenomenal return after a long hiatus. I give her credit for releasing a new album, but I can't say I am looking forward to another horrible performance.

Brace yourselves. Another Michael Jackson love child has surfaced. Prince Michael Malahi Jet Jackson, 24, has come forward this week claiming to to be a long lost love child of Michael Jackson ahd his attorney, LaRue Grim claims he isn't motivated by money. You will recall there was a lot of news swirling around the paternity of Omer Bhatti recently.

"Malachi has been told his entire life that he is Michael Jackson's son. His primary goal is to have closure on whether or not Michael was his father, and he wants a DNA test to prove it. Prince Michael Malachi Jet Jackson, who goes by Malachi, turns 25 in September, and is currently enrolled in "a special needs college at an undisclosed location."

Grim says Malachi's mother, Zerline Lavette Dixon, had trouble with drugs so Malachi's grandmother raised him. But, you know who his long-lost dad is. "Malachi looks exactly like Michael Jackson," Grim added. Really, which version of Michael Jackson does he resemble?

"I'm seeking a DNA test and I'm very concerned that it be reliable and that no one slips in DNA from a stranger. Malachi never met Michael ... from what I understand Michael Jackson was very private about his personal life." The attorney was asked about the alleged relationship
between Zerline and Michael, and the response was: "I don't know about that now. I'm gathering that information." According to Grim, back in the 1980s Zerline was a fashion designer and had a fashion line under the company name of Michael Jackson.

"Michael seemed to be a very smart businessman. I don't think he would have let anybody run a company with his name on it without his approval." Funny, isn't Michael Jackson the same person who, according to Mark Lester, asked him to donate sperm because of his own idiosyncrasies? This is nothing but hogwash.

Chris Brown Placed on Felony Probation for 60 Months, Judge Requests Reports from Domestic Violence Program, Must Stay Away from Rihanna

Chris Brown has been sentenced to 60 months probation and cannot have any contact with singer Rihanna under any circumstance. The judge admonished him for the chatter she heard out there that he has had some contact with Rihanna. Here's a summary of the proceedings as reported by TMZ:

TERMS OF SENTENCE. The judge placed Brown on felony probation for 60 months. He must obey all laws. He must report to probation within 72 hours. Brown can perform community labor in Virginia. She wants reports from the domestic violence program in Richmond, VA. Brown must keep in touch with the Probation Department. He is subject to search and seizure 24/7 for the next 5 years. He can't own any dangerous weapon, including guns or knives.

The judge will issue a protective order ... staying away from Rihanna. He must provide DNA samples as requested by authorities.

He must complete a 52 week domestic violence program sponsored by the Commonwealth Catholic Charities.

Brown must personally come to court every 3 months during his probation. The first appearance will be November 19.

Brown must perform 180 days of community labor. He must also pay $2,500 in restitution. He'll have to pay another $2,500 in probation expenses. He must also pay a $30 criminal conviction fee --BARGAIN! He must also pay $400 that goes into a domestic violence fund.

The judge issued a protective order. Brown is ordered not to harass, assault, threaten, molest, threaten, etc. Rihanna. He must surrender all firearms within 24 hours. He can't have any contact with Rihanna, even on the phone or through a 3rd person. He must stay 100 yards away from her, unless there's an entertainment-related event, in which he must stay 10 yards away. The protective order lasts 5 years.

Chris Brown's Sentencing Moved Up Two Days, To Occur 2:00 PM Today

Chris Brown's sentencing has been moved up two days and will occur at 2:00 PM PT today at the downtown L.A. courthouse.

Brown pled guilty to felony assault for beating Rihanna. He was sentenced to five years probation and 180 days of community labor.

Brown will do his community service in Virginia. The judge wanted a complete schedule from the State of Virginia as to specifically what kind of hard labor he will be performing.

Is the Mystery Woman who Aided Murderer Ryan Jenkins Evade Law Enforcement for the Death of Jasmine Fiore, Actress Paulina Chmielecka?

The RCMP has identified the "mystery" woman who checked in scumbag fugitive Ryan Jenkins into the Thunderbird Motel where he was later found dead in an apparent suicide on Sunday in Hope. Though the police did not reveal the woman's identity, it has been reported by TMZ that the motel manager Kevin Walker said that he is "100% sure" that woman was model and former fiancee to Jenkins, Paulina Chmielecka.  The police said that she isn't the woman they are seeking. They have described the woman as a "person of interest" in the investigation. Jenkins, a Canadian and a former reality show contestant, was accused of killing his ex-wife, Jasmine Fiore, in a case that triggered an international manhunt. This guy is proof that being wealthy doesn't automatically make you a decent, law-abiding person. There are many rich dirtbags in our midst -- male and female.

The manager of the Thunderbird Motel, Kevin Walker, said a woman checked in on Aug. 20, saying she needed a room for at least three days, maybe longer, and paid cash through Sunday. Outside, a man waited in a PT Cruiser with Alberta licence plates. Walker couldn’t remember the woman’s name and said RCMP have seized the slip of information she filled out for the hotel room. He could see there was a man in the vehicle but thought nothing of the fact he didn’t come in, he said.

Walker has since told TMZ.com that he is "100% sure" that woman was model and former fiancee to Jenkins, Paulina Chmielecka, though investigators are reportedly saying she's not the woman in question. Police on Monday did not confirm whether the woman in question is Chmielecka.

After entering the motel room, the mystery woman described as as being in her early to mid-20s stayed for about 20 minutes, then left. On Sunday, when no one came to check out by the required time of 11 a.m., Walker went to the room and discovered the body.

The accused killer was found hanging inside a room at the Thunderbird Motel, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office. The district attorney’s office has no intention of charging anybody else with the murder of Jenkins' ex-wife, Los Angeles swimsuit model Jasmine Fiore, said district attorney spokeswoman Farrah Emami. Jenkins, 32, was charged Aug. 20 in California with the murder of Fiore, 28, whose mutilated body was discovered in a trash receptacle on Aug. 15 in Buena Park, Calif., about 30 kilometers southeast of Los Angeles. I am just sorry that this dirtbag wasn't found alive so that he could be brought to justice. He took the easy way out and left nothing but devastation for Ms. Fiore's family and his.

LA Times: "Lethal Levels" of Anesthetic Propofol Killed Singer Michael Jackson

It is a sad commentary that Michael Jackson led such a tormented life. The fallout from his death continues. According to a search warrant obtained by the Los Angeles Times, the late singer had lethal levels of Propofol in his system when he died. The report states that Dr. Conrad Murray told cops he had been treating Jackson for six weeks for insomnia and giving him 50 milligrams of Propofol every night through an IV. He also told the cops that he feared Jackson was getting addicted so he reduced the dosage to 25 mg and reportedly mixed it with two other sedatives -- lorazepam and midazolam. On June 23, two days before Jackson's death, he reportedly administered those two medications and withheld the propofol.

On the morning Jackson died, Murray tried to induce sleep without using propofol, according to the affidavit. He said he gave Jackson valium at 1:30 a.m. When that didn't work, he said, he injected lorazepam intravenously at 2 a.m. At 3 a.m., when Jackson was still awake, Murray administered midazolam. Over the next few hours, Murray said he gave Jackson various drugs. Then at 10:40 a.m., Murray administered 25 milligrams of propofol after Jackson repeatedly demanded the drug, according to the court records.

Although Murray acknowledged to police that he administered propofol, authorities said they could find no evidence that he had purchased, ordered or obtained the medication under his medical license or Drug Enforcement Administration tracking number. However, police detectives saw about eight bottles of propofol in the house along with other vials and pills that had been prescribed to Jackson by Dr. Murray, Dr. Arnold Klein and Dr. Allan Metzger.

Other drugs that were confiscated in the search included valium, tamsulosin, lorazepam, temazepam, clonazepam, trazodone and tizanidine. They also found propofol in Murray’s medical bag. Murray told detectives that he was not the first doctor to administer the powerful anesthetic to Jackson.

Murray said he noticed injection marks on Jackson’s hands and feet. When he asked Jackson about them, the pop star told him he had been given a “cocktail” to help him. In addition to Murray, authorities subpoenaed medical records from Dr. Arnold Klein, Dr. Allan Metzger and Dr. David Adams, the affidavit states. They also asked for medical records from Dr. David Slavitt, who conducted the independent medical examination of Jackson for Anschuntz Entertainment Group, Dr. Randy Rosen and nurse practitioner Cherilyn Lee. They also subpoenaed records from Dr. Mark Tadrissi, who stored medical records with Adams.

Jackson’s doctor told authorities he left Jackson’s bedside for no more than two minutes before returning to find the pop star not breathing. Jackson reportedly fell asleep at 10:40 a.m. Source: LA Times

This is, indeed, a very sad end to a life that had an impact on so many people across this world. I don't want to blame his family for his downfall, but I have to wonder if they couldn't have done more to help Michael Jackson, rather than use him as their meal ticket. It is equally amazing that Dr. Arnold Klein said on the Larry King Show that he repeatedly told Michael Jackson that propofol was a dangerous drug, but it seems that there is some evidence that he clearly knew more than he professed.

LeAnn Rimes, Grammy Award Winning Country Singer, Involved in Traffic Collision in West Los Angeles, No One was Hurt

Grammy award winning country music singer LeAnn Rimes was involved in a traffic collision in West Los Angeles yesterday evening. Authorities said no one was hurt and the 26-year old singer was questioned by officers as part of an ongoing investigation.

Susan Novak, a spokeswoman for Rimes, said in a media interview that a police report had been filed and she was confident Rimes, a Mississippi native, will be cleared.

Actress Nia Long Says "There's No Difference Between Fur and Slavery or the Holocaust"

Actress Nia Long is the latest Hollywood star to pose for a PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) ad. It is quite obvious that the image has been manipulated by Photoshop, she stands behind the message -- "I'd rather go naked than wear fur." There are many people who are against wearing fur, but where does that leave leather? Would PETA supporters rather go barefoot than wear a leather shoe or sandal? I was equally amazed at Ms. Long rationale behind being against wearing fur:

“In being a responsible adult and really understanding what happens for one fur coat and how many animals are killed and slaughtered for one fur coat, it just isn’t worth it to me."

When I became a mother, I started to really understand the importance of all living creatures in a way that I didn’t ever think about before. And I’ve realized how important it is that we really take responsibility for … treating animals with love and care just like we would any human being.

There’s no difference, in my opinion, [between fur and] slavery or the Holocaust. It’s just that we’re not dealing with human beings, we’re dealing with animals, but it’s still a living thing.”

Really Nia? Wearing fur is no different from slavery or the Holocaust? Gee, let's see how many movie roles you get in Hollywood that are bankrolled or produced by a Jewish man or woman. Wearing fur does not compare in the least to slavery or the Holocaust.

City of Gary, Ind. Paid $5,000 in Airfare for Joe Jackson, Seven Others to Attend Tribute for the Late Michael Jackson

Once again, Joe Jackson, the father of the late Michael Jackson, has shown that he has no class. Rudy Clay, the mayor of Gary, Indiana, said his cash-strapped city paid $5,000 to fly Joe Jackson and seven other people out from Los Angeles to attend a memorial for his son in July. It seems like Joe Jackson, Latoya Jackson and Jermaine Jackson just won't go away and grieve in private like the rest of the family.

While city money helped pay to fly Jackson, the musical group the Chi-Lites and security from Los Angeles to O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, Clay said donations already made or promised to the city will cover all of the memorial's expenses.

He said Gary is currently about $2,000 short of breaking even on the memorial's costs, though he could not provide the total cost for the tribute held at a minor league baseball park.

Clay said Joe Jackson never asked for help to pay for the trip to the city he moved his family away from in 1969 after the Jackson 5 recorded their first album.

Instead, Clay said he offered to pay airfare for Jackson as well as the Chi-Lites so that the group, whose lead singer Marshall Thompson is launching a new record label with Jackson, could accompany the Jackson family patriarch. Source: Breitbart

The last thing this city needed to spend its scarce resources on was a trip for Joe Jackson and his "posse" to visit Gary. I am appalled at the mayor for making such an offer, but not surprised that Joe Jackson, who shamelessly plugged a new record label on the red carpet at the BET Awards days after his son's death, would even accept such an offer. Sorry, but that $5,000 could have been used to service some of the needs of the city.

Shah Rukh Khan, Bollywood Superstar, Says he was Racially Profiled at Newark Airport on Friday when His Name Appeared on Computer Alert List

Another case of racial profiling is spreading around the Internet. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan said that he was racially profiled at Newark Airport and detained for two hours on Friday. Khan, who was cited last year by Newsweek magazine as one of the world's 50 most influential men, was reportedly released only after Indian diplomats intervened on his behalf. According to media reports, Khan said that he was waiting for his luggage when his name appeared on a computer alert list and security then pulled him aside.

Khan, who has appeared in more than 70 films, said he endured two hours of interrogation before he was allowed to call the Indian embassy in Washington. An official there vouched for the star, who was then released.

The actor insisted he had all the proper paperwork when he was brought to a detention room at the New Jersey airport. But, he said, Khan "is a Muslim name, and I think the name is common on their checklist."

What is ironic is the fact that Khan recently signed a deal with Fox Star Studios to finance and distribute his new movie, "My Name is Khan" - the story of a Muslim man mistaken for a terrorist in post-9/11 America.

John Hughes, 59, 80s Teen Flick Writer & Director, Dies from Heart Attack

Writer-director John Hughes, best known as the Hollywood impresario who captured the teen and preteen market with such movie hits as "Home Alone," "The Breakfast Club" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," died. Hughes, 59, died of a heart attack during a morning walk in Manhattan. He was reportedly in New York to visit family.

Hughes, who is a native of Lansing, Mich., rose from ad writer to comedy writer to silver screen champion with his affectionate and idealized portraits of teens, whether the romantic and sexual insecurity of "Sixteen Candles," or the rebellion against conformity in "The Breakfast Club." His comedies helped launch the successful careers of Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall, Ally Sheedy, John Cusack, Judd Nelson, Steve Carell and Macaulay Culkin. He wrote or directed hits such as "Pretty in Pink," "Planes, Trains & Automobiles" and "Uncle Buck.

Though Hughes retreated from public life as he advanced into middle age, he still left an indelible mark on the preteen and teen movie markets. He will be sorely missed.

Debbie Rowe, Katherine Jackson Reach Settlement Agreement in Custody Case for the Two Children she had with Michael Jackson

Debbie Rowe has settled her custody issues over Michael Jackson's children and it doesn't involve a single penny, but it does call for a psychologist for her kids. According to TMZ, Rowe reached the agreement with Katherine Jackson and it is subject to approval by the judge.

Rowe will get visitation of the two children she had with Michael. She wants and will get a psychologist who will visit the children and help them adjust to her being in their lives on a meaningful basis.

Rowe will maintain her parental rights. The agreement says Rowe has no parental rights to Blanket, Jackson's youngest child.

DEA Agents, FBI and Law Enforcement Search Las Vegas Home of Dr. Conrad Murray, Personal Physician of Michael Jackson

URGENT:  DEA agents, FBI and police swarm down on the home of Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson's personal physician. They are at the doctor's home as part of a manslaughter investigation into the singer's death.Murray was Michael Jackson's personal physician and was with Jackson when he died. 

Murray, who is based in Las Vegas and is licensed in California, Nevada and Texas, had his Houston office and a storage unit searched last week by DEA agents. Court records show the agents were seeking evidence of whether the doctor committed manslaughter.Police said Murray is cooperating and have not labeled him a suspect.

Well, I am sure that by now, he may have removed anything incriminating from his home, but his computers and laptops may tell a vastly different story. No matter how you look at this, he's in some serious trouble.

Of course, those comments sparked some outrage in the Jewish camp and rightly so. What do the Zionists have to do with Michael Jackson's demise? Dr. Conrad Murray, his personal physician is very much an African American and whose fault is it that Jackson chose to surround himself with hangers-on and yes-people, who didn't seem to have his best interests at heart?

I am pretty sure the US government didn't tell Mr. Jackson to take all those prescription drugs. If Louis Farrakhan continues to make comments like this, he will never gain mainstream acceptance. I must say, he has made some very valid arguments through the years, but those are rendered ineffective because of his continuous anti-Semitism. It is very disappointing that he continues to blame the Jews for just about everything that goes wrong in the African American community.

Citing it as part of a conspiracy to undermine Jackson, Farrakhan said the lawyer told him Jackson had agreed to do 10 concerts but had been booked for 50, and there was concern Jackson would get sued if he couldn't uphold the agreement. Farrakhan, 76, also cited the molestation accusation of which Jackson was acquitted as another example of efforts to undermine his success.

During the wide-ranging, 2½-hour speech, Farrakhan said he does not believe Jackson was killed intentionally. Instead, he believes Jackson's death was the result of a mistake by Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray, who is a target of a manslaughter investigation.

In speaking of Jackson finding his roots in the black community, Farrakhan said President Obama did the same when he said police "acted stupidly" in arresting Harvard University Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. Obama later said that he had used a poor choice of words. "His [Obama's] black started coming out," Farrakhan said. "He had to pull that fella back in. Underneath, it shows you all his brilliance, his magnificence ... he's one of the brothers." Farrakhan, for what it's worth, has done a lot of good things in the black community, but he continues to draw sharp criticism for his relentless attack on the so-called "Zionists." We have to accept responsibility for our own actions and stop blaming others for our shortcomings. No-one forced Michael Jackson to turn to prescription drugs. He was led to that life because of an accident and it is obvious that he was never able to kick his addiction because of the choices he made, including to surround himself with leeches and rabid wolves, instead of people who really had his best interests at heart.

Dr. Conrad Murray Exhibits Strange Signs in the Death of Michael Jackson

The fallout in the death of Michael Jackson continues. According to TMZ, law enforcement has reportedly said one of the theories they're exploring in the King of Pop's death is that Dr. Conrad Murray administered Propofol to the singer and then left the room, eventually to return to a dead body.

Our sources say when paramedics arrived Michael Jackson was found with an IV in his arm, an IV stand nearby along with an empty IV bag and oxygen tank. We're told paramedics who arrived on scene say Dr. Murray's conduct was "strange" -- he was "hard to deal with" and was "getting in the way" of emergency responders.

As we already reported, paramedics wanted to pronounce Jackson dead at the house but Dr. Murray insisted they transport the singer to the hospital. We're told at the UCLA Medical Center -- after doctors gave up on resuscitation efforts because Jackson was clearly dead -- Dr. Murray continued CPR, which some of the UCLA docs found curious. All I can say is, enough already. If the cops have enough evidence of probable cause, they need to just arrest Dr. Murray. There are several bothersome actions on the doctor's part in this case. First, he was nowhere to be found after Jackson's body was taken to the hospital and he was pronounced dead. Second, he left his car at the residence, yet he claimed he did not know the address to call 911 earlier. Third, he lawyered up quickly. Fourth, he reportedly had some of his employees remove boxes from his storage facility in Houston and lastly, he has not spoken to the parents of Michael Jackson to explain the chain of events that occurred. Apparently, the talk now is that Jackson eldest child is 25 year-old Omar Bhatti, whose mother is Pia Bhatti. He sat in the front row with the Jackson family at the late singer's memorial service. Mr. Bhatti is reportedly seeking a DNA test to prove that he is really Jackson’s son. Jermaine Jackson Michael’s brother had announced that Omer Bhatti will be welcomed into the family if he could prove that he is the fourth child of Jackson.

Doesn't Blanket, Prince Michael II, 7, bear a striking resemblance to Omer?

A Fox News report in 2004 claimed Michael had been telling his friends he was the father, but they were unsure whether or not to believe him. Jackson was introduced to Omer in 1996 and he was reportedly highly impressed by the imitation dance move of then 12 year-old Omer. The following year Jackson invited the whole family at Neverland ranch to stay with him. Omer’s father Riz Bhatti worked as a chauffeur and Omer’s mother Pia Bhatti became the caretaker of Blanket.

Actor Stephen Baldwin Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in New York Court

We are living in some tough economic times and we are all feeling the pinch, but I find actor Stephen Baldwin's plight rather interesting. He has filed for bankruptcy on Tuesday in a New York court.

The 43-year-old actor filed for Chapter 11 protection claiming he owes more than $2.3 million and owns a New York property valued at only $1.1 million. His wife, Kennya Baldwin, also is named in the document.

He has had a tough time lately, as we all have had, but wasn't he the same person who said if Barack Obama became our president he would move to Canada? Psst, he Stephen, O-Man is our president and why haven't you left the country yet?

He abruptly quit "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here," in late June, citing extreme bug bites. Earlier in June his home faced foreclosure. Isn't this the same guy who is a born-again Christian with a ministry? What happened?

According to divorce papers filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, he is asking a judge to void the prenup that awarded him $16,133 in spousal support.

The Jacksons May Reunite, in Negotiations with AEG Live to Perform at O2 Arena in London

Will the untimely passing of Michael Jackson resurrect the singing career of the Jackson brothers? Four Jackson brothers, members of the hit-making quintet led by Michael Jackson until his solo career skyrocketed, have been in negotiations with AEG Live about performing at the O2 Arena in London. They want to take over some of the dates the venue had earmarked for Michael Jackson's 50 comeback concerts, the Los Angeles Times has reported.

The quintet broke up in 1984. But there are outward signs that Michael's death has brought the brothers closer together and may result in the rebirth of the Jacksons on the stage. On Friday, promoters for Jamaica's star-studded music festival Reggae Sumfest announced that three members of the group -- Tito, Randy and Jackie Jackson -- had been confirmed as attendees at a concert next weekend. The announcement said that a fourth member, Marlon Jackson, "may also join." Jermaine Jackson will be in Austria that weekend at the 2009 Save the World Awards, where he will accept a posthumous humanitarian award for Michael.

As sad as this sounds, Michael Jackson will be worth more in death, literally and figuratively, than in life. I suspect his brothers will make more money now than they have ever made previously.

Manager: Paula Abdul Likely Not Returning to American Idol

It's ironic that as Ryan Seacrest and other counterparts ink megadeals to return to American Idol's ninth season, Paula Abdul's manager, David Sonenberg, said that his client will ditch the FOX show unless producers change their tune. Really Paula? AI depends on you for so much! He told the The Los Angeles Times that she has yet to receive a proposal for her return. The new season is set to premiere in January.

"I find it under these circumstances particularly unusual; I think unnecessarily hurtful," he added of the holdup. "I find it kind of unconscionable and certainly rude and disrespectful that [Idol production companies Fremantle and 19 Entertainment] haven't stepped up and said what they want to do."According to Sonenberg, who began managing the star in June, he told the network Abdul would "love to be on the show," but has not heard back as to any sort of proposal.

"She's not a happy camper as a result of what's going on. She's hurt. She's angry," Sonenberg said. "I think at this point we're going to be considering everything, including some kind of a competition show. She has tremendous ideas for a whole variety of shows." Source: US Magazine

Last week, Idol's Ryan Seacrest inked a three-year, $45 million deal to continue on as host, tripling his previous salary of slightly less than $5 million per seaso, while judge Randy Jackson is signed onto the series through 2011. I scarcely think people will lose sleep or the show's ratings suffer if Paula Adbul doesn't return for the new season.

Katherine Jackson's Lawyers Filed Papers to Ask if She Can Object to Executors of Michael Jackson's Estate

Either Katherine Jackson, mother of the late King of Pop, is being manipulated or she just doesn't understand what's at stake. According to TMZ, attorneys Londell McMillan and Burt Levitch, who represent Mrs. Jackson personally, have filed legal papers on Friday asking a judge to rule if she can object to the appointment of the executors, John Branca and John McClain, named in Michael Jackson's will and still collect the money he left her. Huh? You will recall that her son left her 40% of his estate, so why start a fire where there's no need for one?

At issue is the "no contest" clause in the will, which means that anyone who files objections to the will automatically gets no money. McMillan and Levitch want to know if the "no contest" clause would apply if Katherine only objects to the executors Michael chose. I guess, since she's getting such a big chunk of his estate, that should be enough to keep her happy, so why the dust-up about the executors? This is a prime example of Mrs. Jackson not understanding the implications of mounting such a legal challenge. Stay tuned. There is more to come in this soap opera.

Richard Jefferson, San Antonio Spurs Forward, Gets Cold Feet, Calls Off $2M Wedding to Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols, Told His Pals Two Hours before Wedding

Wow. This is the "mother of all cold feet!" Former New Jersey Nets and San Antonio Spurs forward Richard Jefferson dissed his fiancee Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols just hours before they were to exchange wedding vows at the swank Mandarin Oriental in Columbus Circle. He didn't even alert some of the guests that there was going to be no wedding! I say that's a flagrant foul! Some of his friends had already shown up last Saturday for the $2 million spread. He dumped her just before the weekend. Dang.

Jefferson reportedly dumped Nichols just before the weekend and she immediately called her family and friends, feeling like a fool, to tell them the ceremony was off. It seems that Jefferson has no class. He waited much longer to tell his friends not to bother showing up. He called them two hours before the wedding. That's just plain tacky. He reportedly gave his best friend his Black Amex (credit card) for the night and his guests made good use of the credit card to party at his expense.

A family friend said Miss Nichols was stunned, but not surprised and she wants to keep the matter quiet. Really? It's everywhere now and they both need to stay out of the public eye for a few weeks.

A source said: "There was a lot of rifts in the family, but Janet was the one person he spoke to regularly and he made sure the children kept in touch with her too. "Ultimately, he wanted Janet to look after the children, with help from his mother Katherine, and was planning to draft a new will to reflect those wishes. He trusted Janet implicitly.

"When he had health concerns, he had a talk with Janet about how much she meant to him and the children, and how if anything happened to him, he wanted her to make sure the children would be loved and cared for in the same way he was raising them. She told him of course she would."

Michael's most recent will, written in 2002, named Katherine as the children's guardian but Janet - who accompanied the children to their family home to retrieve their belongings after the singer's death last month - has the support of her siblings in taking over as primary carer. Personally, I think Janet Jackson is the best person to get custody of the children. It is obvious, from the memorial service, that they have a close bond with her. Katherine Jackson, though her intentions are good, is elderly and it isn't fair for her to raise three small kids again. Besides, everyone in their right minds do not want Joe Jackson to get his hooks into those kids. That would be contrary to what Michael Jackson would have ever wanted. We all know what Latoya and Jermaine Jackson are all about and they do not deserve to get custody of these children.

On a lighter note, I guess Jermaine Dupri will have someone his own size to play with if Janet Jackson is successful in getting custody of the children.

CNN is reporting that Debbie Rowe and Katherine Jackson, mother of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, has reached a settlement for the children. We all knew Debbie Rowe was in it for the money. She has reportedly given up her parental rights again to Prince Michael I and Paris Michael Katherine, for $4 million. This woman cares more about money than her own children, if they are her biological children, that is.

Fatal Gun Battle Erupts Outside Baby Shower for Wife of Actor Jamie Hector, Linton Williams, 17, Shot and Killed, Two Others Injured

Drama unfolded at a baby shower in Brooklyn this weekend. The baby shower was held for the wife of Jamie Hector, a star of the HBO crime series "The Wire" Sunday, killing one teen, Linton Williams, 17, and wounding two men, Andrew Filson and Walter Parker. Gunmen reportedly unloaded nearly 50 bullets outside the party and then tried to finish off one of the wounded men, Andrew Filson, outside Downstate Medical Center. He was then put into an ambulance and taken to Kings County Hospital where he is in critical condition yesterday. Parker was shot in the leg and is reportedly in stable condition at Brookdale University Hospital.

Police and paramedics raced to E. 93rd St. in East Flatbush about 1:20 a.m. Cops found evidence of a running gun battle with at least 46 shell casings dotting about half the block beginning at Avenue B. Two guns were recovered, but no suspects were arrested after the violence that spilled out from the party. Source: NY Daily News

Hector is a Brooklyn native and also starred in the television shows "Heroes," "Jericho" and "The Game." He was said to have been at the shower for some time, but it is unclear whether or not he was present when the bullets started flying. This is a shame and I hope the gunmen will be caught.

Does Actor Morgan Freeman Plan to Marry Step-Granddaughter E’Dena Hines?

Actor Morgan Freeman is about to be put on blast for his alleged relationship with his step-granddaughter. According to The National Enquirer, he has been romantically involved with E'Dena Hines, 27, for as long as a decade. The actor is currently weighed down in a messy divorce with his now-estranged wife Myrna Colley-Lee of 25 years. So, who is E'Dena Hines? She is the granddaughter of Jeanette Adair Bradshaw, Morgan's first wife, but she was raised by the actor and his second wife since she was a small child. He adopted the young woman's mother Deena, who is Jeanette's biological daughter. Wait? Doesn't this reek of child molestation? It sounds very Woody Allenesque to me!

"Myrna said E'Dena told her that when she was a teenager, she and Morgan went to dinner at a friend's house one evening. Both had been drinking, and when they returned home, Morgan attempted to have sex with her. They stopped just short of having intercourse," a family insider the tabloid.

E'Dena has accompanied Morgan to several Hollywood events, including the LA premiere of 'The Dark Knight' last June. Their supposed relationship, built on adultery, nontechnical incest and statutory rape, may result in a troubling walk down the aisle. "Morgan has led her to believe that he wants to marry her," a source told the Enquirer. "Becoming Mrs. Morgan Freeman has been E'Dena's goal," revealed another.

Here's the shameful thing, if Morgan and E'Dena marry, his adopted daughter will become his mother-in-law. Their confused children would call his ex-wife 'Great-Grandma.' That's just plain nasty. If these allegations are true, then Morgan Freeman will lose the respect of many and rightly so.

Dr. Arnold Klein, Michael Jackson’s Dermatologist: "I Warned Him About Diprivan"

Dr. Arnold Klein, Michael Jackson's dermatologist, surfaced on "Larry King Live" last night and said that on occasion he gave the pop star the painkiller Demerol but warned him about using the powerful sedative Diprivan. He said that Demerol was among the strongest drug he prescribed Jackson and doesn’t know how he got Diprivan, usually administered by anesthesiologists in hospitals.

Investigators looking into the cause of Jackson’s June 25 death have zeroed in on drugs given to Jackson. Diprivan was allegedly found in Jackson’s home. Klein said “If you took all the pills I had given him in the last year at once, it wouldn’t do anything to you.” He said he discovered that Jackson was using Diprivan while on tour in Germany. Klein told Jackson the drug was dangerous: “I told him he was absolutely insane.”

Wait, I have to give my two cents. If Dr. Klein knew Jackson was taking Diprivan during a previous tour, why didn't he try to help him? He knew what could happen to the singer if he continued taking this dangerous drug. I am so irate about the enablers, hangers-on, drug pushers and trash that hung around Michael Jackson and watched him self-destruct. I hope Dr. Klein is investigated thoroughly. It's amazing that he didn't bother to share his concerns with the singer's family, but was only too happy to come on television to tell his "side" of the story.

Remember David Alan Grier from "In Living Color?" Well, apparently he's "living single." We just learned that his wife, Christine Kim, has filed for divorce. According to the documents, which were filed today in Los Angeles Superior Court, she cited irreconcilable differences.

The two wed in July of 2007 and have a 1-year-old daughter together. I hate to see couples break up, but hey, life goes on.

Darryl McCauley Indicted for Stealing $11 Million From Half-Brother, Comedian Dane Cook,

Dane Cook's half brother is facing new charges in Massachusetts that he allegedly stole more than $11 million from the comedian. Prosecutors have said that Darryl McCauley, 43, has been indicted on an additional 20 counts of larceny for allegedly stealing from Cook between March 2004 and December 2008.

Authorities say McCauley wrote company checks while being paid $12,500 a month to act as business manager for Cook's company, Great Dane Enterprises. The new indictment was announced by prosecutors today. I will reserve judgment until the case is tried and a verdict reached. But I will say, that if these allegations are true, what Mr. McCauley did is a disgrace.

McCauley, who lives in the Boston suburb of Wilmington, pleaded not guilty in March to eight counts. His wife, Erika, also has pleaded not guilty to charges that she helped her husband steal millions from Cook.

Katherine Jackson Loses Temporary Control over Michael Jackson's Estate, Judge Rules Will Valid, Leaves John Branca, John McClain in Control

The keys to the estate of Michael Jackson has just been taken away from his mother, Katherine Jackson. Over her objections, a Probate Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff today ruled that Michael Jackson's 2002 will is indeed valid and that, per the late entertainer's wishes, attorney John Branca and veteran music executive John McClain are the executors of his estate. Ouch. Joe Jackson just came up empty, for all the obvious reasons.

Lawyers for Jackson's mother wanted Judge Mitchell Beckloff to delay the decision. One of her lawyers, John Schreiber, argued that "there is concern over handing over the keys to the kingdom so quickly." Her attorneys also suggested that because McClain suffers from a disability, he is unfit to make decisions on Michael's estate, which is estimated to be worth more than $500 million. But Beckloff wasn't having any of those shenanigans. He refused, telling Schreiber, "Someone needs to be at the helm of the ship."

Katherine Jackson had been appointed temporary executor last week, when the family still believed the star had died without a will. That didn't last long because Branca surfaced with a five-page document written several years ago, that established him and McClain as executors.

Court spokesman Alan Paranchini confirmed that another will, dated from 1997, was filed with the court, also listing Branca as executor. But Katherine Jackson's co-counsels, Londell McMillan and Burt Levitch, said they didn't expect the judge's ruling to be affected, because the 2002 document would trump any older document.

Beckloff said he believed Branca and McClain would act in the best interest of the estate and be best equipped to sort through various complicated legal and financial problems, ranging from lingering IOUs and lawsuits to the fate of Jackson's biggest asset, his 50 percent stake in the Beatles' song catalog. There is no reason why Joe Jackson should be able to get his hands on the estate of Michael Jackson in a roundabout way.
